I can send messages, HOWEVER if I am logged on as a standard user using RDC and I open the command prompt and type msg username message I get the error "Error Sending Message to Session RDP-TCP # 10: Error [5] Access Denied ".
I have researched extensively and have not worked, UAC configurations that have not worked.
I have no issues with Windows Server 2008R2 as a standard user.
I need to write a script and put an icon on all user sessions as a quick alerting mechanism with something like:
msg * Help Feeling Threatened
this worked fine in Server 2008R2 but unless I run it as an administrator or in an elevated command prompt I get the error 5: permission denied error.
Any help?
Thanks!
I did not find the right solution from the internet.
